Strandstræde 9 is a silversmith's shop with its own foundry. The old, charming house dates back to 1791.
Here, Pia Christensen creates custom-designed jewellery inspired by the unique culture of Ærø and in close collaboration with the customer. The jewellery is both handmade and cast using the ancient ‘lost wax method’ Cire Perdue.
Pia designs for customers both in Denmark and abroad and she moulds for other designers and jewellers in Denmark. YourDesign-Nordic is under the continuous control of the Danish Precious Metals Control and finished products are stamped with YD.
